"Everyone else made money in the market except me. I'm cursed financially."
How it sounds in your head: My friends' parents are talking about their gains and my family is talking about losses. There must be something wrong with us. Maybe we're not blessed like other families. God favors them but not us.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religious lie: God's blessing is selective and based on favoritism or hidden worthiness rather than covenant.
Pre-teens are hyper-aware of comparison and fairness. When outcomes differ, it feels like evidence of God's unequal favor, especially when family is affected.
During a FAMINE when everyone else was struggling, Isaac sowed and reaped a hundredfold in the same year—the Lord blessed him so much he became very prosperous with flocks, herds, and servants until the Philistines envied him. Bad economic times didn't stop covenant blessing.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm cursed financially while others are blessed. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the blessing of Abraham is MINE in Christ Jesus. Market losses don't define my covenant position. Isaac became wealthy during a famine when everyone else struggled because the BARAK operates regardless of economic conditions. I am Abraham's seed by faith, heir according to promise. IT IS WRITTEN: The Lord commands the blessing on my storehouses and everything I set my hand to—I lend to many and borrow from none.
Your Father doesn't play favorites with blessing—He already decided you're blessed the moment Jesus said 'It is finished.' Market results don't measure His favor; the cross does.
