"Everyone else has talent—I'm mediocre at everything, good at nothing."
How it sounds in your head: That guy's a natural athlete. That one's a genius. That one's hilarious. You? You're okay at a few things, great at nothing. Average across the board.
"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them."
-- Romans 12:6Enemy—comparison kills calling; world—social media highlight reels vs. your behind-the-scenes.
Tryouts prove it—cut from the team or bench player. Grades are Bs and Cs while others coast to As. Talent show? Not you.
Bezalel was a nobody slave in Egypt—God FILLED him with the Spirit and INSTANTLY gave him skill in gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood to build the Tabernacle. Skill came by SPIRIT, not years of practice.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm mediocre at everything and good at nothing. IT IS WRITTEN that I have gifts differing according to the GRACE given to me. My gift isn't earned through talent—it's RELEASED through grace. IT IS WRITTEN that EACH has received a gift—that includes ME. I don't need everyone else's gift; I need to steward MINE. The same Spirit that filled Bezalel with INSTANT skill fills me. I am Abraham's seed, blessed in ALL I set my hand to, walking in supernatural favor and ability.
The Father didn't gift you based on tryouts or report cards. He graced you according to HIS purpose—gifts come from Him, not from your performance.
