"Christians can't have demons, so these feelings must mean I'm not really saved."
How it sounds in your head: If I was really a Christian, I wouldn't feel this oppression. Maybe I'm not really saved. Maybe I prayed the prayer wrong or didn't mean it enough.
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand."
-- John 10:28-29Source: Religious teaching that confuses positional truth with experiential warfare, making salvation about feeling instead of finished work.
He still experiences spiritual attack, which contradicts what he's been taught about Christians being immune. The feelings seem to prove he's outside God's family.
Jesus told Peter that Satan demanded to sift him like wheat, and Peter would deny Him three times. Yet Jesus said 'I have PRAYED for you that your faith should not fail'—Peter belonged to Jesus even during Satanic attack.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual attack means I'm not saved. IT IS WRITTEN that no one can snatch me out of Jesus' hand. My salvation is not based on my feelings but on the FINISHED WORK of the cross. IT IS WRITTEN that I am sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Even when I feel oppressed, I am still His son. The enemy attacks because I BELONG to Jesus, not because I don't. I am saved by grace through faith, and nothing can separate me from the love of God.
The Father sees you being attacked and doesn't question your salvation—He's already written your name in the Lamb's Book of Life in permanent ink. He's running toward you saying 'You're MINE, and nothing changes that.'
