"I must be hearing from demons because Christians shouldn't hear voices."
How it sounds in your head: Sometimes I hear thoughts that feel like they're not mine—condemning, mocking, or just confusing. Real Christians don't hear voices. That's either demons or I'm losing my mind. Either way, something is seriously wrong with me.
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."
-- John 10:27Source: Religion created shame around spiritual perception instead of teaching discernment between the enemy's lies, God's voice, and your own thoughts.
The voices feel distinct from his normal thinking—more aggressive, more condemning. He's worried that acknowledging them means he's either possessed or mentally ill, both of which feel terrifying and disqualifying.
Jesus HEARD the devil speak audibly, tempting Him three times. If hearing demonic voices meant possession or mental illness, Jesus would have been disqualified. Instead, He demonstrated how to handle it—IT IS WRITTEN, IT IS WRITTEN, IT IS WRITTEN. Hearing the enemy doesn't mean he owns you; it means you're in position to defeat him with TRUTH.
I REFUSE the lie that hearing voices means I'm possessed or insane. IT IS WRITTEN that sheep hear His voice—I am DESIGNED to hear spiritually. I test every voice against Scripture. The enemy doesn't own my mind because I hear his lies—he's SUBJECT to the truth I speak. IT IS WRITTEN that I have the MIND OF CHRIST. I discern between God's voice that brings life, my own thoughts, and the enemy's accusations. Like Jesus in the wilderness, I HEAR the enemy to DEFEAT him with IT IS WRITTEN. The BARAK blessing means no curse sticks, no lie takes root, no demonic whisper has authority. I hear, I test, I OVERCOME.
The Father isn't concerned that you hear spiritual voices—He's training you to recognize His voice above the noise. Like Jesus heard Satan and responded with truth, you're not weak for hearing lies; you're strong when you answer them with IT IS WRITTEN.
