"Building walls around my heart is wisdom, not fear—people always disappoint."
How it sounds in your head: At seventy-three, you've seen enough to know better. Your best friend turned on you, your daughter rarely calls, your husband chose someone else. Keeping people at arm's length isn't bitterness—it's survival.
"I am a wall, and my breasts like towers; then I became in his eyes as one who found peace."

Betrayed by her entire culture, surviving through prostitution, every reason to trust no one. The instant she hid the spies, she was brought into Israel's family—no waiting period, no proving herself—immediate covenant inclusion and became Jesus' ancestor.
I REFUSE the lie that walls equal wisdom. IT IS WRITTEN that God Himself is my wall and my protection, which means I don't have to build my own fortifications. The barak blessing makes me above only and not beneath—I am the head, not the tail, in relationships. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:14 that Christ has broken down every dividing wall—including the ones I've built in self-protection. I am Abraham's seed, and the blessing protected Abraham even when HE was the betrayer. Right now, the Father is removing stone walls and giving me a heart of flesh. I receive divine connections that reflect His covenant faithfulness, not human failure.
The Father sees your walls and doesn't condemn you for building them—He understands. But like Lazarus wrapped in grave clothes, He's calling you out and commanding others to unwrap you, not after you're strong enough, but RIGHT NOW.
