"Building anything lasting is foolish when the tribulation could start any moment"
How it sounds in your head: People are getting married, starting businesses, buying houses - but what if the tribulation starts and we lose it all? Seems smarter to stay mobile, stay minimal, don't get too attached. Building feels like setting myself up for loss.
"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear... If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward."
-- 1 Corinthians 3:11-14Enemy uses imminence theology to prevent covenant partnerships, wealth building, and Kingdom infrastructure.
If the rapture or tribulation is truly imminent, then investing in long-term earthly things does seem unwise. Why build what you'll have to leave behind?
God told Abraham 'leave your country' and promised him land he'd never fully possess in his lifetime - yet Abraham built altars, dug wells, accumulated wealth, and made covenant partnerships, knowing his obedience was building something GENERATIONAL even if he didn't see the fullness.
I REFUSE the lie that building is foolish because the tribulation could start. IT IS WRITTEN that I'm called to BUILD on the foundation of Christ with gold, silver, and precious stones - work that ENDURES and receives reward. I don't build with fear; I build with eternity in mind. IT IS WRITTEN that I lay up treasures in HEAVEN - and Kingdom-focused business, covenant marriage, and generational wealth ARE heavenly treasures. I am Abraham's seed, blessed to build generationally. The blessing follows me in every season. I build, create, invest, and multiply - and whether Jesus comes tomorrow or in fifty years, NONE of it is wasted.
Your Father is running toward you with BLUEPRINTS for building that outlasts every shaking. He's not asking you to stop investing in earth - He's asking you to build Kingdom infrastructure that transitions into eternity, and NONE of it will be lost.
