"At my age, God can't use the wreckage I've made—I'm too far gone."
How it sounds in your head: Look at the debris field of your life—broken relationships, financial mistakes, moral failures. Other men your age have legacy and respect. You have wreckage. God uses clean vessels, and you're shattered pottery.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Religious teaching that God's use is based on your condition rather than His covenant, making usefulness about your wholeness instead of His power.
He can see the evidence—adult children who don't call, debts that never got paid, a reputation that never recovered. The contrast with 'successful' peers is stark and painful.
Manasseh was Judah's WORST king—practiced witchcraft, sacrificed his own sons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood. At age 67, after decades of evil, he cried out to God from a Babylonian prison. God IMMEDIATELY restored him to his throne and used his final years mightily.
I REFUSE the lie that my wreckage disqualifies God's purposes. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten—not manage them, RESTORE them. The BARAK blessing on my life isn't based on my wholeness but on COVENANT. Like Manasseh after DECADES of evil, I can be instantly restored to purpose. IT IS WRITTEN that God calls things that are not as though they were. He is calling me USEFUL while I still see wreckage. I receive RESTORATION and PURPOSE right now.
The Father isn't calculating whether you're worth salvaging—He's already running toward you with the robe and ring. Manasseh's last years after a lifetime of evil were POWERFUL, not because he earned it but because God RESTORES.
