"After decades together, our marriage is too broken to heal now."
How it sounds in your head: We've hurt each other too deeply for too long. The resentment is cemented into our bones. At our age, we're too tired to rebuild what's been destroyed for years.
"And He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' So I answered, 'O Lord GOD, You know.'"
-- Ezekiel 37:3Enemy whisper that time creates irreversible damage, that covenant can expire through neglect.
He's watched communication deteriorate year by year, patterns so entrenched they feel like his identity now. The weight of accumulated disappointments feels heavier than any effort to change.
Dead four days, body decomposing, everyone said it was too late and the smell would be unbearable. Jesus spoke ONE WORD and death had to release him—instant resurrection from complete decay.
I REFUSE the lie that decades of hurt create irreversible damage. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes dry bones live, that He calls forth life from death itself. My marriage is not defined by years of patterns but by ONE WORD from the Resurrection and the Life. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever—what He did for Lazarus after four days, He does for marriages after forty years. I stand in covenant blessing, the BARAK that protected liars and deceivers, now covering me through Christ's blood. God is breathing on these dry bones RIGHT NOW.
The Father isn't counting your years of dysfunction—He's running toward your marriage with resurrection breath. What looks like a tomb to you looks like a miracle waiting to happen to Him.
