I Thessalonians 1

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the sovereign assembly of the Thessalonians established in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus the Anointed One: Divine favor be upon you and victorious peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus the Anointed One.
We continually express gratitude to God at all times concerning all of you, making powerful remembrance of you upon our prayers
Unceasingly calling to mind your mighty work of faith and your laborious toil of love and your triumphant endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus the Anointed One before the presence of our God and Father
Knowing with certainty, brothers divinely beloved by God, your divine selection
Because our triumphant message came not to you in word only, but also in miraculous power and in the Holy Spirit and in abundant full conviction, just as you know what manner of men we became among you for your sake
And you became powerful imitators of us and of the Supreme Lord, having received with authority the divine word in much crushing pressure, with triumphant joy of the Holy Spirit
So that you became authoritative patterns to all the faithful believers in Macedonia and Achaia
For from you has thundered forth the divine word of the Supreme Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your powerful faith toward God has gone forth triumphantly, so that we have no need to speak anything
For they themselves proclaim with authority concerning us what kind of powerful entrance we had to you, and how you turned with authority to God from idols to serve as bond-servants to the living and true God
And to eagerly await His Son from the heavens, whom He raised with power from the dead, Jesus the One who delivers us with authority from the wrath that is coming
