"You're too young. Nobody takes you seriously. Wait until you're older to matter."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone just sees me as a kid. They pat my head and dismiss my ideas. Even at church, I'm just 'the youth'—too young to lead, too young to be used by God. I'm stuck in the waiting room of life while everyone else gets to do important things.
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
-- 1 Timothy 4:12Enemy + world system that measures worth by years instead of covenant identity.
Adults constantly say 'you'll understand when you're older' and exclude him from meaningful conversations. He watches older teens and adults get opportunities while he's told to wait his turn.
Jeremiah said 'I'm only a youth' when God called him as a prophet to nations. God's response: 'Do not say I am a youth—I am sending you and I will be with you.' He became a prophet to NATIONS as a teenager.
I REFUSE the lie that my age disqualifies me from God's purposes. IT IS WRITTEN that I should let no one despise my youth. I am not too young for the Holy Spirit—He lives in me NOW with full power. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and youth confounds the proud. I am Abraham's seed, heir according to the PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing rests on me today, not someday. My identity is in Christ, not in years lived.
The Father isn't waiting for you to age—He's bursting with plans for you RIGHT NOW. He sees you the way He saw David in the shepherd field: already anointed, already chosen, already KING before you face one giant.
