"You should've traveled when you were younger—now responsibilities make it impossible."
How it sounds in your head: You were supposed to backpack Europe at 22, teach English abroad, see the world before settling down. Now you have a lease, a job, obligations. That adventurous season is over. You missed your chance for the experiences everyone else had.
"Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."
-- Psalm 37:4World: Adventure limited to life stages instead of available at every season through God's provision.
Your PTO is limited. Responsibilities are real. Friends post throwback study abroad photos while you're stuck in routine. That freedom feels like it belonged to a younger version of you.
Abraham didn't start his greatest adventure until age 75—leaving everything familiar to see nations and lands he'd never imagined. God funded the entire journey, and Abraham saw more, gained more, and experienced more than if he'd gone in his twenties.
I REFUSE the lie that I missed my chance for adventure or that travel belongs only to the young and unattached. IT IS WRITTEN that when I delight in the Lord, He gives me the desires of my heart—including the places I long to see. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that my God supplies ALL my needs according to His riches in glory. I am blessed with Abraham's BARAK—blessed coming in and going out, in every land and season. The same God who funded Abraham's journey at 75 can open doors for me NOW with greater provision and purpose than I could have accessed earlier. The Father who prepared a feast for the prodigal prepares experiences for me beyond what I missed.
The Father doesn't limit adventure to your twenties—He's the God who sent Abraham on the journey of a lifetime at 75, fully funded and fully blessed. He's not holding back experiences because you're older; He's preparing better ones with purpose you didn't have before.
