"You're losing your mind. Confusion and forgetfulness mean God has abandoned you."
How it sounds in your head: You can't remember your grandkids' names. You forget what day it is. Sometimes you don't recognize the room you're in. This isn't you. If God's with you, why can't you think straight? Maybe He's already gone.
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
-- Deuteronomy 31:6Enemy using natural decline to suggest spiritual abandonment and God's conditional presence.
Every forgotten name. Every confused moment. Every time someone has to remind you where you are. Your mind was your strength - now it betrays you.
Isaac was blind, confused about which son was which, completely deceived by Jacob's disguise - and the blessing he spoke in that CONFUSED STATE still stood and shaped nations. God didn't invalidate the blessing because Isaac was confused. The power wasn't in Isaac's clarity but in God's covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that confusion means God left me. IT IS WRITTEN that He will NEVER leave me nor forsake me - not when I'm sharp, not when I'm confused. IT IS WRITTEN that Isaac blessed in blindness and confusion, and the blessing STOOD because it was covenant, not clarity. My identity isn't in my mental sharpness but in Christ who holds me. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus whether I remember or forget. The BARAK blessing isn't based on mental performance. I am blessed coming in and going out, in clarity and confusion, because I am IN THE VINE and He never lets go.
The Father who used Isaac's confused blessing to shape nations is holding you closer in your confusion, not pulling away. Your mental clarity never sustained His presence - His nature did. He's closer now than ever, whispering 'I've got you' when you can't remember your own name.
