"Your body is breaking down; you're entering the decline phase of life."
How it sounds in your head: The doctor says it's 'normal for your age.' You need reading glasses, blood pressure meds, and ibuprofen. Recovery takes longer. Energy is unpredictable. This is just what happens in your 50s—manage the decline.
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Curse of death and decay from the Fall, plus medical system that normalizes disease as inevitable aging.
Your body literally hurts more than it used to. You see peers getting diagnosed with serious conditions. Parents are dying. The mirror doesn't lie about gray hair and weight distribution changes.
Moses died at 120 years old, and Scripture specifically says 'his eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.' After 40 years in the wilderness and climbing a mountain on his final day, he had the strength of a young man.
I REFUSE the lie that decline is inevitable. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Those who wait on the Lord shall RENEW their strength'—not manage, RENEW. My body is under the BARAK blessing, not the curse. IT IS WRITTEN: 'By His stripes I am healed.' Sickness and decay are under my feet because Christ redeemed me from the curse. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in me and gives life to my mortal body. I am Abraham's seed, and the blessing includes health. Moses had undimmed eyes at 120. I expect RENEWAL, not decline.
The Father isn't watching you deteriorate—He's ready to release RENEWAL the moment you receive it as GIFT, not achievement. Christ already took the curse of sickness; the Father is running toward you with resurrection life for your body NOW.
