"Young people don't respect authority anymore; they're unteachable and rebellious."
How it sounds in your head: They question everything, reject tradition, and think they know better than those who've walked this path. There's no humility, no honor, no willingness to submit to wisdom. This generation is lost to pride.
"Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you."
-- Titus 2:6-8Enemy—division tactic painting normal developmental questioning as REBELLION to break mentoring bridges.
You've watched young people reject church structures, challenge long-held beliefs, and dismiss 'because I said so' explanations. Their questions feel like attacks, their independence like arrogance, and their different approach like disrespect.
At age 12, Jesus sat in the temple asking the teachers QUESTIONS and giving answers, and all who heard Him were ASTONISHED at His understanding. Questioning wasn't rebellion—it was ENGAGEMENT, and God honored it as the path to deeper understanding.
I REFUSE the lie that young people are unteachable rebels because they ask questions. IT IS WRITTEN that I should show myself a PATTERN of good works and sound speech—not demand blind submission. Questions are HUNGER, not rebellion. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus Himself asked questions at 12, and the Bereans tested everything. I am Abraham's seed, carrier of the BARAK blessing of wisdom worth PURSUING, not enforcing. I answer with GRACE, model with INTEGRITY, and trust the Spirit in them to draw truth. I build bridges, not walls. I invite dialogue, not demand silence.
The Father is grieving 'shut up and obey' religion that drove His kids away and CELEBRATING the honest questions that lead to REAL encounter. He's raising mentors who aren't threatened by questions because their foundation is ROCK, not sand—and He's placing you in young lives HUNGRY for that authenticity.
