"You'll never recover what grief and loss took. Death stole your future and left you with nothing."
How it sounds in your head: I've buried my husband, my friends, pieces of myself. Every funeral feels like another piece torn away. I'm just waiting now for my own death because there's nothing left to live for.
"The last enemy that will be destroyed is death."
-- 1 Corinthians 15:26Enemy's death worship + religious acceptance of loss as final - makes grief permanent instead of confronting death as a defeated enemy.
She literally has buried people she loves and the losses are real, painful, daily reminders. Religion taught her to 'accept God's will' instead of rage against the thief who comes to kill.
Lost her husband and both adult sons in a foreign land, so bitter she changed her name to Mara (bitter), said 'the Lord has testified against me.' God gave her Ruth who bore Obed, grandfather of David, great-grandfather of Jesus - her grief became the Messianic line.
I REFUSE the lie that death won. IT IS WRITTEN that death is the LAST ENEMY that will be destroyed - enemy, not friend, not God's plan. Jesus abolished death and brought LIFE and immortality to light. IT IS WRITTEN that weeping endures for a night but JOY comes in the morning. Job lost everything - God restored DOUBLE. Naomi lost everything - God gave her the Messianic line through Ruth. The Father doesn't mock my grief - He's running toward me with RESTORATION that makes the former things small by comparison, because the latter glory is GREATER.
The Father isn't asking you to make peace with death - He's running toward you with LIFE, the same resurrection power that emptied tombs. Every loss the enemy stole, He counters with DOUBLE restoration like Job's ending.
