"You sacrificed everything for others and got nothing back. You're invisible now and it's too late to matter."
How it sounds in your head: I spent decades caring for everyone - children, parents, husband, church. Now I'm alone and nobody asks what I need. I gave my best years and have nothing to show for it.
"And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life."
-- Matthew 19:29World's transactional thinking + religion's martyrdom glorification - makes service a debt others owe instead of worship with guaranteed reward.
She literally did sacrifice everything and the people she served have moved on with their lives. Her body is worn from caregiving and nobody's caring for her now.
In drought and famine, down to last meal for her and her son, preparing to eat it and die. Prophet asked for it FIRST - she gave her last to him - the flour and oil didn't run out for THREE YEARS until the famine ended.
I REFUSE the lie that my sacrifice was wasted. IT IS WRITTEN that everyone who has given up houses, family, lands for His name's sake receives a HUNDREDFOLD - not someday, NOW. I didn't serve people - I served HIM and He's not bankrupt. IT IS WRITTEN that I will eat the riches of the Gentiles and in their glory I will boast. The BARAK blessing makes me the head and not the tail, lender and not borrower, above only and not beneath. The Father isn't ignoring my service - He's running toward me with spoils that take THREE DAYS to gather like Jehoshaphat's reward.
The Father didn't watch you pour yourself out to leave you empty. He's running toward you with the hundredfold - multiplied oil that doesn't stop, spoils so abundant it takes days to collect.
