Too Old
"You can't lead because you're not old enough for people to take you seriously or respect your authority."

How it sounds in your head: You have leadership gifts and ideas but adults and even peers dismiss you because of your age. You feel called to lead but constantly hit the wall of 'who do you think you are?'

Jeremiah 1:7

"But the LORD said to me: 'Do not say, I am a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.'"

-- Jeremiah 1:7
Enemy whispers: Too young to lead. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Jeremiah 1:7 - 'Do not say, I am a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.' God COMMANDED Jeremiah to stop using youth as an excuse. David was anointed king as a TEENAGER while Saul was still on the throne—God's choice, not the elders' vote. IT IS WRITTEN that from the mouths of babes God ordains strength to silence the enemy and avenger.
Quick Truth: LIE: Too young to lead. TRUTH: God said 'Do not say I am a youth.' David was anointed as a teen. Lead NOW. (Jer 1:7)

Source: World's age-based hierarchy and religion's seniority system that equates authority with years instead of anointing.

Why this feels true:

You've literally been shut down in meetings or groups because 'you're just a kid.' People listen to terrible ideas from adults while ignoring great ideas from you.

1 Samuel 16:11-13
David

David was the YOUNGEST son, so insignificant his dad didn't even bring him in when the prophet came to anoint a king. God rejected all the older, more impressive brothers and anointed the teenage shepherd boy who would kill giants and lead nations.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my age disqualifies me from the leadership and authority God has placed on my life. IT IS WRITTEN that God told Jeremiah not to say 'I am a youth' because anointing isn't age-dependent. I don't lead from my résumé; I lead from the SPIRIT OF GOD that rests on me regardless of my birthdate. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and that includes choosing young voices to shame old religion. I don't need permission from a board of elders to walk in what God already released. The BARAK blessing makes me the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, which has nothing to do with seniority and everything to do with COVENANT. I lead NOW.

But God actually:

Your Father doesn't see your age as a limitation—He sees it as a strategic advantage because you haven't been contaminated by religious systems yet. He's not waiting for you to get older to release authority; He already released it and is watching to see if you'll believe it.
