"We've hurt each other too deeply—some wounds are unforgivable."

How it sounds in your head: Affairs. Words that cut to the bone. Years of betrayal. I can recite every wound. Even if I wanted to forgive, the memory is seared into my brain. The trust is shattered beyond repair.

Colossians 2:13-14

"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

-- Colossians 2:13-14
Enemy whispers: 'The betrayal is too deep—some wounds can't be forgiven or forgotten.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Colossians 2:13-14—God 'forgave you ALL trespasses, having WIPED OUT the handwriting of requirements, having NAILED it to the cross.' Not 'manageable' sins. ALL. Not process forgiveness. WIPED OUT. If God can forgive humanity's murder of His Son, there is NO wound in your marriage beyond His redemption. The cross doesn't have a limit.
Quick Truth: LIE: Too hurt to forgive. TRUTH: Colossians 2:13-14—God WIPED OUT all trespasses. The cross has no limit.

Religion + psychology: teaches forgiveness is a process dependent on her emotional capacity and that some betrayals are deal-breakers.

Why this feels true:

The pain is real, documented, and the psychological community validates that some trauma is too severe. Her body still reacts when she remembers, proving the wound is still open.

Hosea 3:1-3
Hosea

God told Hosea to take back his wife Gomer who had committed adultery multiple times, had children with other men, and sold herself into slavery. Hosea bought her back and INSTANTLY restored her as his wife—God's picture that no betrayal is beyond redemption.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that our wounds are too deep for God's healing power. IT IS WRITTEN in Colossians 2:13-14 that God FORGAVE ALL TRESPASSES and WIPED OUT every debt—nailed to the cross. If the cross covers humanity's murder of Jesus, it covers every wound in my marriage. IT IS WRITTEN that God doesn't measure betrayal on a scale—He covers it with BLOOD. I declare the same power that raised Christ from death is raising my marriage from death. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing breaks cycles of betrayal and restores what was stolen. Instant healing is my covenant right.

But God actually:

The Father isn't asking you to work up forgiveness through years of processing—He's GIVING you HIS forgiveness to release right now, like pouring wine into an empty cup. While you remember every wound, He's running toward you with the oil of healing that erases scars instantly, like the leper whose flesh became like a child's in one moment.
