"I don't have energy left to fight for this marriage anymore."
How it sounds in your head: My body is failing, my mind is slowing. I barely have strength for daily tasks, let alone marriage warfare. Maybe I should just accept defeat and focus on surviving.
"Thus says the LORD to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's.'"
-- 2 Chronicles 20:15Enemy lie that spiritual victory requires human strength and physical energy.
Chronic pain, medications, exhaustion. Fighting feels impossible when getting out of bed is hard. She feels like a burden, not a warrior.
Jehoshaphat was VASTLY outnumbered by three armies. God said, 'Don't fight—just WATCH.' They sent WORSHIPERS ahead of the army, and God caused the enemies to kill EACH OTHER. Victory without lifting a sword.
I REFUSE the lie that I need strength to see victory. IT IS WRITTEN that the battle is NOT mine but God's. IT IS WRITTEN that it's not by might or power but by His Spirit. I am under the BARAK blessing—enemies defeat themselves before me like they did for Jehoshaphat. My job is not to FIGHT; my job is to STAND and WATCH God fight. I position myself in worship and agreement while He dismantles every opposition. My weakness is His opportunity for undeniable glory. I declare victory by HIS strength, not mine.
The Father isn't asking you to muster strength—He's asking you to REST while He wages war on your behalf. Your wheelchair is a throne from which to watch enemies fall.
