"We've grown so far apart that we're basically strangers sharing a house."
How it sounds in your head: We don't even talk anymore except about doctor appointments and funeral arrangements. I don't know who she is now, and she doesn't know me. The distance is a canyon decades wide. We're just waiting to die separately together.
"So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone."
-- Ezekiel 37:7World: Teaching that emotional distance is permanent geography instead of a gap God bridges instantly; making intimacy about time investment instead of supernatural reconnection.
Years of parallel lives create real emotional distance. At ninety, energy for reconnection feels depleted, and the gap feels like proven permanent evidence rather than a temporary separation God can close.
Job lost everything—wealth, children, health, and even his wife turned against him ('curse God and die'). When God restored Job, He gave him DOUBLE everything including restored relationship with his wife. Instant reversal of total devastation.
I REFUSE the lie that emotional distance is permanent. IT IS WRITTEN that scattered bones come together SUDDENLY at God's command—bone to bone, joint to joint, LIFE returning to what looked dead and separated. What feels like decades of canyon is ONE WORD away from supernatural bridge. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus makes all things new (Revelation 21:5)—not gradually, but by speaking and it IS. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing is commanding reconnection over my marriage right now. The Spirit who hovered over chaos and brought order is hovering over our distance and speaking TOGETHER. I declare SUDDEN coming together, SUDDEN intimacy, SUDDEN knowing—because that's who my Father is.
Your Father isn't handing you a map to slowly cross the canyon. He's already built the bridge while you slept, and He's standing on it saying 'COME'—not 'work your way across over years,' but 'step onto what I've already completed.'
