"Wars and rumors of wars mean I shouldn't invest in my future or make big plans."
How it sounds in your head: Ukraine, Middle East, China tensions - feels like World War 3 could kick off any second. Why would I take out student loans or start a business when everything could blow up literally? Safer to just survive day by day.
"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet."
-- Matthew 24:6Enemy using geopolitical fear to abort dreams and keep believers from occupying their territory.
Every news cycle escalates conflict language, and draft rumors circulate constantly on social media. Historical references to WW2 make it feel like we're on the brink, and adults don't confidently deny it.
There was a FAMINE in the land - economic collapse, resource scarcity, regional instability. God told Isaac 'Do NOT go down to Egypt' and Isaac PLANTED CROPS in the middle of the famine. That same year he reaped a HUNDREDFOLD, became VERY wealthy, and had so many flocks and herds that the Philistines envied him. He prospered IN crisis, not after it.
I REFUSE the lie that wars and conflict should stop my plans. IT IS WRITTEN that I will hear of wars and rumors of wars but I am NOT ALARMED - the end is not yet, and my covenant stands REGARDLESS. I am under the BARAK blessing that made Isaac wealthy in famine and Abraham rich in foreign lands surrounded by hostile kings. A thousand may fall at my side, but it will NOT come near me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field, and ENEMIES are defeated before me. I am not paralyzed by headlines - I am PLANTED in promise, and I reap HUNDREDFOLD in the middle of chaos. I build NOW.
While you're scrolling war updates and calculating survival odds, the Father is looking at you like you've forgotten who your Dad is. He's saying 'Did you forget I parted seas, collapsed armies, and made the sun stand still? You think geopolitics can override MY protection over MY son? Build BOLDLY - I've got this.'
