"Unforgiveness or hidden sin is blocking my prayers"
How it sounds in your head: Maybe there's something I haven't dealt with—some resentment toward my mother, or that secret I've never confessed. God won't move until I get it all right.
"And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Religion creates a checklist spirituality where God's movement depends on achieving perfect internal inventory.
She's heard sermons about harboring unforgiveness blocking blessings and can think of relationships where she's still hurt. It feels logical that God is waiting for her to fix these first.
A criminal dying for his crimes spoke one sentence of faith. No time to confess every sin, make restitution, or prove himself. Jesus responded: TODAY you will be with me in Paradise. Instant acceptance with zero checklist.
I REFUSE the lie that my hidden sins block God's response. IT IS WRITTEN: God forgave ALL my trespasses, nailing the record to the cross. I am not waiting for my perfection—I'm standing in Christ's. IT IS WRITTEN: there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The blood covers what I can't remember and what I haven't processed. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK blessing that protected liars and deceivers. My access to the Father is through Jesus' righteousness, not my clean conscience. I declare: my prayers are heard NOW, not after I achieve perfect forgiveness.
The Father isn't withholding answers while you dig for hidden sins. He's already covered ALL your trespasses at the cross. He's running to you like the prodigal's father—not inspecting your conscience but embracing your trust.
