"Unanswered prayer means God is saying no or not yet—I need to accept and stop asking."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe silence IS the answer. Maybe 'no' sounds like nothing. You've asked repeatedly—at some point doesn't persistence become pestering? Maybe the spiritual thing is to accept what God isn't doing and move on. Maybe maturity means being okay with unanswered prayer instead of keep asking like you don't trust His timing.
"Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart."
-- Luke 18:1Source: Religion teaching that repeated asking shows lack of faith, when Jesus explicitly taught to keep asking, seeking, knocking until you receive.
You've been asking for the same thing for years. It feels immature or faithless to keep bringing it up. You've heard that 'no' is an answer, and maybe acceptance is more spiritual than persistence at this point.
Widow kept coming to unjust judge who didn't fear God or respect people. He refused repeatedly. She kept asking. Finally he said 'Because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.' Jesus' point: If EVIL judge responds to persistence, won't your GOOD FATHER respond even MORE?
I REFUSE the lie that unanswered prayer means stop asking. IT IS WRITTEN that men ALWAYS ought to pray and NOT LOSE HEART. Silence is not 'no'—it's an invitation to persist like the widow who wouldn't quit until she got justice. My Father is not an unjust judge—He's a GOOD FATHER who responds to persistence with YES. IT IS WRITTEN to ask, seek, knock continuously until the door opens. The BARAK blessing is MINE by covenant—I don't stop asking for what's already mine in Christ. I declare I will NOT lose heart, I will NOT stop asking, and I WILL see the breakthrough because my Father rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Your Father isn't sitting back waiting for you to finally give up and accept His 'no.' He's inviting you to persist, to keep asking, to refuse to settle—not because He's reluctant, but because persistence reveals your heart believes He's GOOD and He GIVES. Like the father who gave the prodigal everything the MOMENT he returned, your Father is ready to answer—keep asking until you receive.
