"This spiritual warfare is punishment for wandering from God during my kids' younger years."
How it sounds in your head: I put the kids before prayer, missed church for soccer games, let my Bible gather dust for a decade. Now that I'm seeking God again, this oppression is Him making me pay for those lost years.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."

She genuinely did drift spiritually during the demanding motherhood years, and now the enemy is framing current spiritual battle as divine retribution. It 'makes sense' to her justice-oriented thinking.
Jonah RAN from God, spent time in a fish's belly, then God said, 'Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah a SECOND TIME'—same mission, no punishment, no diminished calling. Restoration was INSTANT upon turning back.
I REFUSE the lie that current spiritual warfare is punishment for past wandering. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten—He doesn't bill me for them. Those years raising kids weren't waste; they were CALLING. God doesn't punish the prodigal; He throws PARTIES for returners. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. This battle isn't divine retribution; it's the enemy trying to steal my NOW by making me pay for my THEN. I am covered by the BARAK blessing—defended even when I wandered, protected by covenant not consistency. The Father is RUNNING toward me, not preparing my punishment.
The Father didn't spend your wandering years building a case against you—He spent them WAITING for your return. This battle isn't Him; it's the enemy terrified of what you'll do NOW that you're back.
