How it sounds in your head: Paul had his thorn, I have mine. Maybe God knows I'd become arrogant if I was healthy and successful. This constant weakness keeps me praying, keeps me broken before Him. It's a dark gift.

The 'thorn' language is biblical so it feels safe, and it explains why prayers haven't worked yet. It lets you stop fighting and accept suffering as spiritual maturity instead of something to resist.
Paul's host's father lay sick with fever and dysentery on the island of Malta. Paul went in, prayed, laid hands on him, and healed him - then ALL the sick on the island came and were healed, proving Paul believed healing was God's will for everyone.
I REFUSE the lie that God gave me a thorn of sickness. IT IS WRITTEN that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father - sickness is neither good nor perfect. Paul's thorn was a messenger of Satan, not a gift from God, and he healed every sick person he encountered. My humility comes from knowing I'm righteous by GIFT not achievement, not from disease destroying my body. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus bore my sicknesses and carried my pains. I am under the BARAK covenant blessing where even liars and deceivers were protected and prospered - how much more am I protected in Christ's blood.
The Father isn't keeping you sick to manage your ego - He made you righteous as a gift so you'd have nothing to boast about except Him. He's running toward you with healing because sick children don't glorify a Father who calls Himself Healer.
