"This disease is God's way of slowing me down because I was too busy before."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I was too prideful, too independent, too driven. Maybe God had to break me physically to get my attention. Maybe this is discipline for not resting in Him earlier.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
-- James 1:17Religious teaching that God uses disease as discipline tool, denying that sickness is enemy oppression.
She WAS busy before. Now she's forced to slow down. It feels like a divine 'timeout' for her previous pace.
Sick with high fever—Jesus REBUKED the fever (you rebuke ENEMIES, not teaching tools), and she was healed IMMEDIATELY. Then she IMMEDIATELY rose and SERVED them—healing led to MORE activity, not less.
I REFUSE the lie that God authors sickness as discipline! IT IS WRITTEN that every GOOD and PERFECT gift is from above—sickness is NOT good, NOT perfect, NOT from Father. Jesus REBUKED sickness as an ENEMY. IT IS WRITTEN that God disciplines with WORD, not disease. If I needed rest, He would give REST as a GIFT, not sickness as punishment. I am under the BARAK blessing—blessed in activity AND rest. The same blessing that protected murderers protects ME. I receive DIVINE HEALTH and supernatural strength!
Your Father doesn't break your body to get your attention—He sent His WORD to heal you. He gives rest as a GIFT, not disease as discipline. He's running toward you with LIFE, not orchestrating sickness.
