"This demonic attack proves I'm not spiritually mature or strong enough yet."
How it sounds in your head: Real men of God don't struggle like this. If I were more mature, prayed more, fasted more, this wouldn't be happening. My spiritual weakness is showing.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
-- 2 Timothy 1:7Source: Performance-based Christianity that measures spiritual maturity by absence of warfare rather than faith in Christ's victory.
Other men seem more composed and less tormented. Leaders don't admit these struggles from the pulpit. His internal battle feels like evidence of spiritual immaturity compared to the polished testimonies he hears.
Jesus sent out the twelve when they were still immature, constantly misunderstanding Him, arguing about who was greatest. Yet they cast out many demons and healed everywhere they went. Maturity wasn't the requirement—His authority was.
I REFUSE the lie that demonic attack proves I'm not mature enough. IT IS WRITTEN: God has given me a spirit of POWER—given, not earned through maturity. I don't fight demons in MY strength but in the NAME above every name. IT IS WRITTEN: The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. That power isn't waiting for me to mature—it's MINE NOW. Jesus sent out immature disciples who cast out demons by His authority, not their maturity. I walk in the BARAK blessing—the terror of God protects me regardless of my performance. I am SEATED with Christ in heavenly places. Every demon sees JESUS when it sees me.
Your Father doesn't see spiritual attack as proof you're immature—He sees His son being targeted precisely BECAUSE you're a threat to darkness. He's not waiting for you to grow up before defending you; He's fighting FOR you right now, delighting in your dependence on His strength rather than your own.
