"They can tithe and give generously while I'm counting coins for gas"
How it sounds in your head: You hear testimonies of sowing and reaping, but their seed is thousands and yours is pocket change. They give cheerfully because they CAN. You're choosing between giving and eating. God must honor their big gifts more than your small ones.
"So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.'"
-- Mark 12:43-44Religious lie that God measures giving by amount rather than sacrifice, twisted from widow's mite teaching
The numbers don't lie—their offering makes a difference, yours feels insignificant. Ministry celebrates big givers. Your two dollars feels invisible compared to their two hundred.
Had only two small copper coins—the smallest currency, worth almost nothing—while wealthy people gave large amounts. Jesus said she gave MORE than all of them because she gave from her lack, and God honors sacrifice over size.
I REFUSE the lie that my small gifts are insignificant compared to their large ones. IT IS WRITTEN that the widow with two coins gave MORE than the wealthy because God measures the HEART, not the amount. My Father doesn't need my money—He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that because I give, my God supplies ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory. The BARAK blessing isn't measured by the size of my seed but by the COVENANT. Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek and God made him wealthy (Genesis 14:20). My sacrifice isn't invisible—it's SEEN and HONORED. I am blessed to be a blessing, and supernatural multiplication follows my obedience.
Your Father sees your two coins like He saw the widow's—not as too little but as EVERYTHING, and that kind of trust makes Him move heaven and earth. He's not comparing your gift to theirs; He's preparing overflow for your sacrifice.
