"These battles prove I never truly got saved or filled with the Spirit decades ago."
How it sounds in your head: If I was really saved back then, I wouldn't still struggle with this now. Real Christians don't battle darkness like this after all these years. Maybe my conversion wasn't genuine.
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
-- John 10:28Source: religion teaching that 'real salvation' produces perfect freedom, making ongoing battles 'proof' of fake faith.
Decades have passed since conversion, yet certain battles persist. Religious teaching promised 'old things passed away' would mean zero struggle, so ongoing warfare seems like evidence of failed salvation.
Paul, who wrote half the New Testament and had been to the third heaven, battled a 'messenger of Satan' that God allowed to remain. Three times he prayed for deliverance; God said 'My grace is sufficient.' Battle didn't disqualify him—grace sustained him.
I REFUSE the lie that ongoing battles prove failed salvation. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing can snatch me from Christ's hand—not struggles, not time, not demonic attacks. My salvation was secured by HIS work, not my perfect performance. Even Paul battled a messenger of Satan and remained fully anointed. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am sealed until the day of redemption regardless of battles. The BARAK blessing covered Jacob even when he DECEIVED—how much more does Christ's blood cover me in struggle.
The Father isn't questioning your salvation because you still battle—He's declaring you SEALED, SECURE, KEPT. Like the prodigal, you're a SON, not a performance review; the robe stays on even when battles rage.
