"The gospel has failed because look at the state of the world"
How it sounds in your head: You've preached, prayed, voted, stood for truth your whole life and the culture is worse than ever. The gospel doesn't seem to work. Maybe you were on the wrong side. Maybe it's all been futile. The darkness is winning.
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
-- Isaiah 55:11Enemy + results-based faith measurement instead of finished-work confidence, stealing assurance
Every metric you were told would prove gospel success—Christian nation, moral culture, church growth—seems to be failing. Your lifetime of effort looks wasted.
Jeremiah preached for 40 YEARS to a nation that never repented, was mocked, imprisoned, and saw Jerusalem destroyed. Yet God said 'I have set thee... to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant'—his words ACCOMPLISHED God's purpose regardless of visible response.
I REFUSE the lie that the gospel failed because culture declined. IT IS WRITTEN God's Word shall not return void but SHALL accomplish what He pleases—not what I can measure. The gospel isn't a political strategy; it's the POWER of God unto salvation. Every seed I planted is germinating in God's timing, seen or unseen. IT IS WRITTEN I am a branch abiding in the Vine—I don't measure success by cultural metrics; I measure CONNECTION, and I'm connected. The BARAK blessing doesn't depend on majority votes. Abraham was blessed in pagan nations. Daniel prospered in Babylon. I am not on the wrong side—I'm on the ETERNAL side. My labor is not in vain in the Lord. Heaven's scoreboard is the one that counts, and there I am VICTORIOUS in Christ.
Your Father isn't wringing His hands over election results or cultural trends—He's on the throne and every word you spoke for Him is ACCOMPLISHING its purpose in ways you'll see in eternity. He's running toward you with 'WELL DONE,' not 'you failed.'
