"It's too late to fix my mistakes; I'm dying with regrets and failures."
How it sounds in your head: I'm 90-something, and I see my life clearly now—the mistakes, the failures, the people I hurt, the opportunities I missed. There's no time left to make it right. I'll die with these regrets. What if God remembers my sins?
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."
-- Psalm 103:12Source: Religion teaching that past sins can disqualify future blessing, plus enemy using condemnation to steal peace in final days.
Memory sharpens with age, and he can replay every failure in HD. The finality of approaching death makes 'too late' feel undeniable—no more chances to fix relationships or redo decisions.
The thief lived a CRIMINAL life—robbery, violence, zero 'Christian walk.' He had MINUTES left, no time to fix anything, no chance to make amends. Jesus' response: 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—INSTANT, COMPLETE, TOTAL acceptance with zero rehabilitation required.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late or that I'm dying with regrets God remembers. IT IS WRITTEN: 'As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed my transgressions.' My past is not my identity—CHRIST IS. Every failure, every sin, every regret was NAILED TO THE CROSS and buried in the tomb. IT IS WRITTEN: 'There is therefore NOW no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.' I am not dying as a failure—I am dying RIGHTEOUS, BLAMELESS, and BELOVED. The thief on the cross had minutes and got Paradise. I have the SAME JESUS, the SAME BLOOD, the SAME PROMISE. My final chapter is not regret—it's GLORY!
The Father isn't tallying your mistakes—He's RUNNING toward you with the robe, the ring, and the fattened calf, celebrating a son who's coming HOME. Like the thief who got Paradise in his last breath, your past is OBLITERATED by the cross, and your future is SECURED by His promise.
