"The enemy is winning because bad things keep happening to me and my family."
How it sounds in your head: If God were protecting us, Dad wouldn't have lost his job, or Mom wouldn't be sick, or we wouldn't be struggling with money. The fact that bad stuff keeps happening proves the enemy is getting through and winning.
"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
-- Romans 8:31Source: Enemy lie equating temporary circumstances with spiritual defeat, making God's victory dependent on VISIBLE PROOF instead of COVENANT PROMISES that stand regardless of what eyes see.
The hardships ARE real and visible - financial stress, sickness, family tension. Religion taught him God's blessing looks like perfect circumstances, so struggle must mean enemy victory, not knowing the blessing protected people THROUGH trials, not FROM them.
Job lost EVERYTHING - all his children killed, all wealth destroyed, his health demolished, in ONE DAY of catastrophic attack. Yet the moment Job prayed for his friends, God INSTANTLY restored DOUBLE everything he lost - the ending obliterated the enemy's assault completely, proving temporary attack doesn't equal ultimate victory.
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy is winning because of our circumstances. IT IS WRITTEN if God is FOR me, who can be against me? Temporary hardship doesn't mean spiritual defeat. IT IS WRITTEN that NOTHING separates me from the love of God in Christ - not tribulation, distress, or financial pressure. Job lost EVERYTHING in one day yet God INSTANTLY restored DOUBLE when he prayed for his friends. The BARAK blessing says 'the Lord will command the blessing on your storehouses' - that's COVENANT, not circumstantial. I am blessed coming in and going out, above only and not beneath.
Your Father doesn't wait until circumstances look perfect to declare victory - He's already SEATED you with Christ in heavenly places ABOVE every circumstance right now. Like Job received INSTANT double restoration after total loss, your Father runs toward you WITH blessing in the middle of the mess, not after you clean it up.
