"The enemy has more control over my circumstances than God does right now."
How it sounds in your head: Look at my situation—death is coming, pain is real, everything feels dark. If God was really in control, why does it feel like the enemy is winning? Maybe Satan has more power in this moment than I thought. Maybe God's hands are tied somehow.
"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
-- 1 John 4:4Source: enemy/trauma - Deception rooted in circumstantial evidence rather than covenant truth, magnifying temporary visible reality to eclipse eternal spiritual victory already won.
Her circumstances are objectively difficult—pain, loss of independence, death approaching, saying goodbyes. The enemy is visible in her suffering, while God's presence feels invisible. Religion taught her to judge God's power by her circumstances rather than by His promises.
They were thrown into a fire so hot it killed the soldiers who threw them in—circumstances screaming 'enemy wins.' But God was IN the fire with them, and they walked out without even the SMELL of smoke. The enemy's worst couldn't touch them—INSTANT demonstration that God's presence trumps enemy's power.
I REFUSE the lie that Satan has any control over my circumstances that God doesn't allow for my ultimate good. IT IS WRITTEN that He who is in me is GREATER than he who is in the world—not equal, not struggling, GREATER. The enemy is a defeated foe pretending to have power he lost at the cross. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them. My circumstances are not the final word—GOD'S WORD is. I am hidden in Christ, seated in heavenly places FAR ABOVE all demonic activity. I walk in the BARAK blessing—protected, defended, and untouchable by anything God doesn't specifically permit for my benefit. Satan is under my feet.
The Father sees your circumstances and says, 'I know what you see, beloved, but let Me show you what I see—My defeated enemy flailing in his final moments while My daughter stands victorious in My Son.' He's not losing control; He's walking through the fire WITH you, and you'll come out without even the smell of smoke.
