"The enemy has a legal right to attack me because of my past"
How it sounds in your head: I've heard in deliverance ministry that certain sins give Satan legal access—sexual sin, unforgiveness, occult involvement. I've done things I'm ashamed of, and maybe those sins gave the enemy legal ground that even repentance can't fully revoke. I feel like I forfeited my protection and now I'm fair game.
"Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:14Teaching that presents Satan as a prosecuting attorney with enforceable claims against you despite the finished work of the cross.
When attacks intensify after certain sins, it seems like you gave the enemy ammunition. The legalistic 'courtroom' theology makes demonic oppression feel like deserved justice.
This woman was caught in the ACT of adultery—undeniable guilt, Mosaic Law demanding stoning, accusers with legal right. Jesus said 'Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more'—INSTANT complete legal exoneration with zero punishment or process, despite irrefutable evidence of sin.
I REFUSE the lie that Satan has legal right to me. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus wiped out every charge against me and nailed it to the cross. No accuser can bring a charge against me because God Himself justifies me. My past does not give the enemy access because the blood of Jesus covers ALL my sin. IT IS WRITTEN that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing flows through me regardless of my failures—just as it protected Judah after sleeping with his daughter-in-law. I am not fair game; I am BLOOD BOUGHT and untouchable.
The Father is tearing up every legal document the enemy tries to present, saying 'PAID IN FULL by My Son's blood. Case dismissed.' Like the woman caught in adultery, you're waiting for stones, but He's writing your accusers' sins in the dirt and declaring, 'Neither do I condemn you.'
