God said 'the battle is not yours but God's' and they worshiped instead of fighting; INSTANTLY the enemies killed EACH OTHER and Judah spent 3 days gathering spoils without swinging a sword - fear didn't prevent total victory.

The angel of the Lord encamps around me. I am PROTECTED by covenant, not by my feelings.
Your Father doesn't wait for you to FEEL brave before declaring you protected - you ARE protected RIGHT NOW regardless of emotions, and He's teaching your feelings to catch up to truth. Like Jehoshaphat won INSTANTLY while terrified, your Father delivers you in the middle of fear, not after you conquer it yourself.
