"The darkness is winning, so my small light doesn't matter."
How it sounds in your head: I'm just one person. One mom, one business, one voice. The culture, the lies, the systems—they're massive and I'm tiny. What difference can I possibly make when evil seems to be prevailing everywhere?
"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."
-- Matthew 13:31-32Source: Enemy magnifies darkness to eclipse identity, making her forget she carries the Light that overcame the world.
She watches massive cultural shifts, corporate agendas, governmental corruption—her sphere feels laughably small by comparison. Influence feels like a fantasy when she's just trying to manage her household.
She gave two tiny coins—all she had—while rich people gave thousands. Jesus said her 'nothing' was worth MORE than their abundance, and 2,000 years later we're still talking about her mustard-seed faith that outlasted empires.
I REFUSE the lie that my light is too small. IT IS WRITTEN that the kingdom starts as a mustard seed—the LEAST becomes the GREATEST. I am not insignificant; I am STRATEGIC. The BARAK blessing doesn't measure impact by size but by COVENANT—Abraham started with zero children and became father of nations. IT IS WRITTEN that one can chase a thousand, two can put ten thousand to flight. My 'small' sphere is the exact size God ordained for THIS moment. I am the light of the WORLD in my world, salt that stops decay, city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
Your Father doesn't measure impact by audience size—He measures it by obedience. The widow's mite outlasted Herod's temple. Your 'small' faithfulness in your kitchen, your business, your neighborhood—that's the mustard seed about to become a tree.
