"The damage from my childhood can't be undone now."
How it sounds in your head: Trauma, absent parents, bullying, abuse—those things wrecked me during years that were supposed to build me. The damage is done. I can manage it, maybe, but I can't undo what happened when my brain was forming.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Source: enemy + trauma + psychological determinism that makes childhood wounds permanent life sentences.
Every therapy model, every psychology class, every trauma-informed approach confirms that childhood shapes you. He has literal scars—emotional patterns, triggers, coping mechanisms—that feel hardwired.
Mephibosheth was dropped as a baby, crippled for life, orphaned, and raised in hiding believing he was worthless. King David found him and INSTANTLY restored him to eat at the king's table as a son—lifetime of damage reversed in one encounter.
I REFUSE the lie that childhood damage is permanent. IT IS WRITTEN that in Christ I am a NEW CREATION—old things PASSED AWAY, ALL THINGS became NEW. My identity isn't 'damaged goods working on healing'—my identity is BRAND NEW in Christ. The blood of Jesus doesn't just cover my childhood trauma—it makes me a COMPLETELY NEW PERSON where that damage has NO POWER. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NOW no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am not defined by what happened to me at age 7—I am defined by whose I AM at age 15. The BARAK blessing that protected JUDAH after he slept with his daughter-in-law protects me, because covenant isn't based on perfect pasts. God is doing INSTANT HEALING that bypasses years of therapy, because I'm connected to the VINE and wholeness is AUTOMATIC in Him.
Your Father doesn't see you as damaged goods who need years of repair—He sees you as a NEW CREATION in Christ where the old damage literally doesn't EXIST anymore. He's about to do instant healing that makes therapists' jaws drop, because HIS power isn't limited by developmental windows.
