"The Bible was written by men with agendas. It's just ancient politics and power."
How it sounds in your head: Constantine chose the canon. The councils excluded books that didn't fit their narrative. Paul had issues with women. David was a warlord. It's all tribal power plays dressed up as divine revelation. How is this different from any other ancient religious text?
"For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit."
-- 2 Peter 1:21World: reducing divine revelation to sociological phenomenon, making inspiration indistinguishable from propaganda.
You've read the historical context. You see the political machinations behind councils, the exclusion of gospels, the human fingerprints everywhere. Once you see Scripture as a product of its time, it's hard to see it as transcendent.
Roman centurion, Gentile, outside the covenant, ignored by every 'canon' of Jewish inclusion. God sent an angel, gave him a vision, simultaneously gave Peter a vision that shattered his theology, and brought them together. The entire early church's theology had to CHANGE to include him. God's revelation BREAKS human systems, doesn't submit to them. Instant salvation, instant Spirit baptism—Peter was still explaining when it happened.
I REFUSE the lie that human authorship negates divine inspiration. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Holy men of God spoke as they were MOVED by the Holy Spirit.' God spoke THROUGH culture, not outside it. He breathed revelation through David's brutality, Paul's blind spots, Peter's prejudice—and the Word still stands. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever' (Isaiah 40:8). I am Abraham's seed, heir of the BARAK blessing—God spoke to Abraham in his culture, his language, his limitations, and the covenant still holds. My Father isn't limited by human vessels; He specializes in them.
Your Father intentionally chose to reveal Himself through messy humans in messy cultures because that's where YOU live—in mess, in culture, in limitation. If He only spoke through perfection, He'd never speak to you. The incarnation is the pattern: divinity IN humanity, not despite it.
