"Teachers only remember the smart kids and the troublemakers. I'm just average, so I blend in."

How it sounds in your head: I get B's, not A's or F's. I raise my hand sometimes but not enough to be the 'smart one.' I don't get in trouble, so teachers don't know my name by February. I'm just... a face in the class photo.

1 Samuel 16:7

"For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

-- 1 Samuel 16:7
Enemy whispers: You're too average to be memorable. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: 1 Samuel 16:7 - Man looks at outward performance, but God looks at your HEART. While teachers measure you by test scores and behavior charts, God is measuring the kindness you showed the new girl, the integrity you had when no one was watching, the worship you gave Him in the shower this morning. You are not average to the One who matters most.
Quick Truth: LIE: I'm too average to be noticed. TRUTH: God sees your HEART, not your report card - you're extraordinary to Him. 1 Samuel 16:7

World system that celebrates extremes and ignores the middle, making her believe average performance equals average worth.

Why this feels true:

Teachers genuinely do focus energy on kids at both ends of the spectrum. She watches the honor roll get praised and the behavior problems get attention while she sits in the middle, doing everything right but unremarkably.

Judges 6:12
Gideon

Gideon was hiding in a winepress, the youngest of the weakest clan, calling himself the least in his family. God appeared and called him 'mighty warrior' - not because of what he'd done, but because of what GOD saw in him, and Gideon immediately led Israel to victory.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that average grades mean average worth. IT IS WRITTEN that God does not see as man sees - while teachers look at test scores, God looks at my heart and sees a warrior. I am not measured by honor roll lists but by the delight in Heaven's eyes when I walk in integrity. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the foolish things to shame the wise, which means He specializes in using 'average' people to do EXTRAORDINARY things. I carry the blessing of Abraham who was a nobody from Ur, and God made his name great. That same blessing is making MY name great in Heaven right now.

But God actually:

The Father is not keeping score like your teachers. He saw you help that girl pick up her books in the hallway when everyone else walked past, and He threw a party in Heaven over your heart. What the world calls average, He calls anointed.
