"Taking medication means I don't have enough faith for God to heal me supernaturally."
How it sounds in your head: You've served God your whole life, and now you're ending it on pills and oxygen tanks. Real faith would throw these away and trust God completely. You're a weak believer.
"No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities."
-- 1 Timothy 5:23Religious spirit twisting scripture to create condemnation where Christ gave freedom.
You've seen God do miracles before, so relying on medicine feels like admitting defeat. The oxygen tank and pill organizer feel like monuments to failed faith.
King Hezekiah was dying and God promised to heal him and add 15 years to his life. Isaiah then instructed them to apply a poultice of figs to his boil—God used both supernatural promise AND natural remedy simultaneously.
I REFUSE the lie that medication opposes faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Paul prescribed medicine to Timothy without apology. My Father created the chemical compounds that give me relief, and He smiles when I take them. IT IS WRITTEN that Hezekiah received both God's promise and the prophet's prescription. I am blessed coming in and going out, whether by miracle or medicine. The BARAK blessing of Abraham flows through my veins stronger than any disease, and my Father uses every means—supernatural and natural—to keep His covenant promise of health over me.
Your Father is running toward you with both miracle power AND the medical knowledge He gave doctors. He's not waiting for you to choose one or the other—He's already provided both, like a father who brings his sick son both prayer and soup.
