"Taking medication for my anxiety or depression means I lack faith in God's healing power."
How it sounds in your head: Every time I reach for that pill bottle, shame floods me. Real Christians would just pray harder, trust more, believe bigger. Timothy had frequent stomach problems and physical ailments. Paul didn't rebuke him for weak faith or tell him to pray harder—he prescribed MEDICINE: 'Use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities.' Medical intervention was recommended by an apostle.
I REFUSE the lie that medication equals faithlessness. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus validated physicians, and IT IS WRITTEN that Paul prescribed medicine to Timothy without shame. I am a daughter of Abraham, heir to the BARAK blessing that includes health and wholeness however God delivers it. My brain chemistry is not a spiritual failure—it's biology that God designed to respond to treatment. I receive medication as GIFT, not defeat, and I walk in the freedom Christ purchased for me. Medicine and faith are PARTNERS in my healing, not competitors.
