"If I take medicine, I'm limiting what God can do."
How it sounds in your head: You think maybe God would do a bigger miracle if you didn't take the easy route. Maybe using medicine is like telling God you don't think He's powerful enough. What if your treatment is actually blocking the real healing He wanted to do?
"Now Isaiah had said, 'Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.'"
-- Isaiah 38:21Religion teaching that human help competes with divine help, making medicine an obstacle to miracles.
Testimonies often emphasize people who stopped treatment before getting healed. You think maybe God only moves when there's no backup plan, like you have to create desperation for Him to show up.
Hezekiah was dying. God sent Isaiah with both a PROMISE (you will live) and a PRESCRIPTION (apply figs to the boil). God didn't wait for faith without medicine - He COMBINED promise and treatment for instant healing.
I REFUSE the lie that medicine limits God. IT IS WRITTEN that God Himself prescribed medical treatment for Hezekiah's healing - promise AND poultice together. My Father isn't threatened by doctors; He works THROUGH them. I am blessed according to Deuteronomy 28 with health, and that blessing includes medical provision. IT IS WRITTEN that every good gift comes from above. I receive treatment as partnership with God, not competition. His power is unlimited whether He works through miracles, medicine, or both.
Your Father is running toward you with healing in BOTH hands - medicine and miracles - saying 'Why choose when I'm giving you EVERYTHING?' He's not testing your faith by withholding options; He's lavishing provision on His daughter.
