"Needing medication for chronic illness means God hasn't heard or answered my prayers."
How it sounds in your head: I've prayed for years. I've been anointed, had hands laid on me, stood on Scripture. Still need the meds. Maybe God isn't listening. Maybe I'm not important enough for Him to heal.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Religion teaches prayer + faith = instant healing; ongoing illness feels like divine rejection or unanswered prayer.
You've done everything 'right'—prayer, fasting, confession, faith declarations. You've seen others healed. But you still have the condition, and it feels like God said yes to them but no to you, or worse, He's ignoring you.
Paul, who raised the dead and healed multitudes, had a thorn in the flesh. He prayed three times for removal. God said no and offered grace instead. Paul's ongoing condition wasn't evidence of unanswered prayer—it was God's intentional answer.
I REFUSE the lie that ongoing illness means unanswered prayer. IT IS WRITTEN that Paul prayed three times and God said no, offering grace instead. God has HEARD every prayer I've prayed. His provision through medication IS His answer. IT IS WRITTEN that His grace is sufficient, and sometimes grace looks like daily pills, not instant removal. The BARAK blessing covers me in sickness or health. I am loved, heard, and cherished whether God heals instantly or sustains me through treatment. I am the righteousness of God, and my condition doesn't change His delight in me.
The Father has heard every single prayer, every desperate cry at 3 AM. He's not ignoring you—He's sustaining you, providing for you, holding you. The medication is His kiss, His provision, His answer: 'I'm keeping you alive, son. I've got you.'
