"She's further along spiritually because God loves her more."
How it sounds in your head: She hears from God clearly, gets words of knowledge, leads Bible studies. You're still wrestling with doubt and can barely stay awake through prayer. Her faith looks effortless while yours feels like constant struggling. Obviously God speaks to her because she's more pleasing to Him.
"And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power."
-- Colossians 2:10Religion teaches that spiritual 'maturity' earns more of God's love, turning relationship into performance evaluation.
You watch her prophesy with confidence while you're still asking if that inner voice was God or indigestion. At 57, you thought you'd be a 'mature believer' by now, but her ease with the supernatural makes your wrestle look like evidence of divine distance.
Gideon was hiding in a winepress, arguing with God, asking for multiple signs because of doubt—and God still called him 'mighty warrior' and used him to deliver Israel. God didn't wait for confidence; He called him mighty WHILE he was hiding.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual gifts measure God's love. IT IS WRITTEN that I am COMPLETE in Christ—not becoming complete, not complete when I prophesy like she does, COMPLETE NOW. Her ease with the supernatural doesn't make her more loved; it makes her differently wired. IT IS WRITTEN in John 6:37 that Jesus will NEVER cast me out—not because I hear clearly, but because I CAME. I am the BARAK generation, blessed not by performance but by COVENANT. Gideon was called mighty while hiding. The thief got paradise while dying. The Father's love for me is FINISHED WORK, not future goal.
The Father isn't measuring your spiritual résumé against hers. He's delighting in your WRESTLE, your honest questions, your 'I believe; help my unbelief'—because that raw faith, that clinging in the dark, moves His heart more than polished performance ever could.
