"Science has disproven the supernatural; miracles don't happen."
How it sounds in your head: You live in the 21st century. Medicine explains healing. Psychology explains spiritual experiences. Neuroscience explains prayer. The supernatural is just pre-scientific language for what we now understand naturally. Miracles were for a time before we knew better.
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
-- Mark 16:17-18World's naturalism denying anything beyond matter; enemy using scientism to close off the transcendent.
You've been educated in a framework where the natural is all there is, and supernatural claims feel like regressing to superstition. Science has explained so much that miracles feel unnecessary.
A man lame from birth, over 40 years old, laid at the temple gate daily begging. Peter said, 'In the name of Jesus, rise,' and IMMEDIATELY his feet and ankles were made strong—he went walking, leaping, praising God in seconds.
I REFUSE the lie that science disproves miracles. IT IS WRITTEN that signs follow those who BELIEVE, and Jesus is the SAME yesterday, today, forever—same power NOW. The lame man at Beautiful Gate was healed INSTANTLY after 40 years, and medicine didn't do it—the NAME of Jesus did. Science describes the natural, but God CREATED natural law and operates above it when He chooses. IT IS WRITTEN in John 14:12, 'He who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also, and GREATER works'—the miracles didn't stop; they MULTIPLIED. I declare: I believe in the supernatural because I serve a SUPER-natural God, and His power isn't limited by my education. The BARAK blessing includes signs and wonders following me as a son of Abraham.
The Father isn't intimidated by your scientific knowledge—He invented the laws of physics and delights in showing you He's not bound by them. He's not asking you to choose between reason and miracles; He's inviting you to see that the God who holds atoms together can rearrange them whenever He wants.
