"Rich people are just different than us—we weren't born for that kind of life."
How it sounds in your head: When I see girls at school with nice clothes and new phones, they just seem like a different species. Their families know how money works, they talk differently, they live in a different world. People like me don't become people like them—we're just built different.
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich."
-- 2 Corinthians 8:9Source: world's class system and enemy's identity theft, making her believe prosperity is genetic rather than covenant-based.
The visible gap feels biological—wealthy families seem to have knowledge, connections, and confidence she doesn't see in her own family. The difference appears fundamental, not circumstantial, like she's missing some essential ingredient they have.
Crippled grandson of a dead king, hiding in poverty in Lo Debar (meaning 'no pasture'), convinced he was worthless as a 'dead dog.' David brought him to the palace in ONE DAY—gave him all of Saul's land, permanent place at the king's table, and servants to work his fields—from beggar to royalty instantly because of covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that wealth is for a different class of people. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus became poor so I might become RICH—not scrape by, not barely survive, but RICH. I am not defined by my family's economic status or the world's class systems. I am a DAUGHTER OF THE KING, seated at His table, and His resources flow to me not because I earned them but because of COVENANT. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28 that I am blessed in the city and field, the head not the tail, above only and not beneath—this is my identity. The same King who pulled Mephibosheth from hiding and seated him at the royal table has already given me a permanent place at His table of abundance. I am royalty by BLOOD, not by birth circumstances.
The Father doesn't see you as 'poor girl looking up at the wealthy'—He sees His daughter who already has access to the King's table, the King's resources, the King's authority. You're not trying to become something different; you're discovering who you've BEEN since Jesus made you royalty.
