"Real faith would heal my sleep instantly, so my continued insomnia proves weak faith."
How it sounds in your head: If I really believed, I'd be healed by now. The fact that I'm still struggling means my faith is insufficient. I see others testify of instant breakthrough—clearly they have something I lack. My persistent insomnia is evidence of my spiritual inadequacy.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion - making healing contingent on the quality of your faith, turning Jesus's finished work into your performance.
Scripture shows instant healings. You've seen testimonies of breakthrough. Your continued struggle, in contrast, feels like proof you don't believe strongly enough—if you did, you'd be healed like they were.
She'd spent everything on doctors for 12 years, tried every solution, still sick—yet the moment she touched Jesus, INSTANTLY healed. Her faith wasn't perfect (she tried everyone else first)—but her touch of Jesus was enough. The power was in HIM, not her faith quality.
I REFUSE the lie that my continued insomnia proves weak faith. IT IS WRITTEN that a father with MIXED faith ('help my unbelief!') saw instant deliverance—Jesus doesn't require perfect faith. The power is in HIS finished work, not my faith quality. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 12:2, Jesus is 'the author and finisher of our faith'—He completes what I lack. I am righteous by HIS faith, not mine. My sleep breakthrough depends on His nature, not my belief strength. I receive rest NOW, not because I've mustered enough faith, but because HE is faithful.
Your Father isn't withholding healing until your faith reaches a certain percentage—He's the one AUTHORING your faith while you sleep. Like the woman who tried everything else first, your imperfect approach doesn't disqualify His perfect power the moment you turn to Him.
