"Real Christians trust God alone for healing, not doctors and prescriptions."
How it sounds in your head: That woman at church threw away all her medications and God healed her completely. Why can't I have that kind of faith? Maybe I'm too worldly or compromised in my beliefs.
"Is there no balm in Gilead, is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of My people?"
-- Jeremiah 8:22Religion created hierarchy of faith, making medical wisdom seem inferior to supernatural intervention instead of recognizing both as God's provision.
Testimonies of people abandoning medication for miraculous healing make her feel like a second-class believer. At her age, multiple prescriptions feel like evidence of insufficient trust compared to dramatic healing stories.
Jesus told how the Samaritan poured oil and wine on wounds, bandaged them, and paid for extended care—praising medical intervention as righteous compassion. Jesus used this medical care story as the MODEL of godly love, not as inferior to prayer.
I REFUSE the lie that doctors compete with God. IT IS WRITTEN in Jeremiah 8:22 that God questions why people don't use physicians and medicine available—He provides them. The Good Samaritan's medical care was Jesus' example of love in action. My doctors are gifts from God's wisdom, not replacements for faith. IT IS WRITTEN that God asks why we don't use the healing balm available. I receive medical wisdom as God's provision without hierarchy or shame. The BARAK blessing includes wisdom, provision, and healing through EVERY means God supplies.
Your Father doesn't rank healing methods from most spiritual to least. He's running toward you with EVERY tool—miraculous touch, medical knowledge, natural remedies—because He invented them ALL and delights when you receive His provision in whatever form brings you wholeness.
