"Prosperity teaching is fake. God only cares about my soul, not my wallet."
How it sounds in your head: My youth pastor said 'health and wealth gospel' is heresy. So I guess wanting money makes me greedy? God only wants me spiritually rich but physically broke?
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Religious spirit twisting reaction to abuse into denial of covenant promises.
He's heard leaders mock prosperity preachers, so he assumes all teaching on biblical wealth is wrong. Poverty feels more 'holy.'
Isaac sowed during a famine (risky, could lose everything) and reaped a hundredfold THE SAME YEAR—became so wealthy in flocks, herds, and servants that the Philistines envied him. God prospered him massively and immediately, even after Isaac LIED about his wife.
I REFUSE the lie that God only cares about my soul and not my provision. IT IS WRITTEN that He wants me to prosper in ALL THINGS and be in health (3 John 1:2). I am not greedy for believing God's promises—I'm in covenant. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in my storehouses, in the work of my hands, in my coming in and going out (Deut 28:3-6). The BARAK blessing is on me because I am Christ's, therefore Abraham's seed and heir according to PROMISE (Gal 3:29). Abraham was rich, Isaac was rich, Jacob was rich, Solomon was rich—all while walking with God. Religion calls it heresy; Heaven calls it INHERITANCE. I receive both spiritual and material blessing because my Father owns it all and withholds no good thing from me (Ps 84:11).
The Father doesn't split you into 'spiritual' (blessed) and 'physical' (cursed)—He blesses the WHOLE you because you're His son. Like the prodigal got robe, ring, sandals, AND feast, you get complete restoration in every area.
