"Prosperity is for other people who are more spiritual or favored than me."
How it sounds in your head: I see other women blessed and think, 'Of course God would bless her—she's amazing.' But me? I'm too inconsistent, too messy, too average. Prosperity feels like something reserved for the spiritual elite, not regular people like me.
"Then Peter opened his mouth and said: 'In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.'"
-- Acts 10:34Source: Religion created a hierarchy of favor based on performance, convincing her that blessing is earned by being 'spiritual enough' rather than received by covenant position.
She compares herself to influencers, pastors' wives, and 'faith heroes' who seem to have it all, assuming their blessing came from superior spirituality. Her own inconsistency and hidden struggles make her feel disqualified from the abundance she sees others walking in.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding in obscurity, convinced he was worthless—a 'dead dog.' David restored him to the king's table, gave him ALL of Saul's land, and said 'you will ALWAYS eat at my table'—not because of anything Mephibosheth did, but because of COVENANT with Jonathan.
I REFUSE the lie that prosperity is reserved for people more spiritual or favored than me. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows NO PARTIALITY—blessing isn't for the elite, it's for EVERY seed of Abraham. I don't earn the BARAK by being 'spiritual enough'—I HAVE it because I'm IN CHRIST. My inconsistency doesn't disqualify me; my POSITION qualifies me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, not because I'm perfect but because HE IS FAITHFUL. I eat at the King's table not as a servant earning a spot but as a DAUGHTER with permanent seating.
The Father isn't reserving blessing for the 'A-team' while you sit on the bench. He ran to the prodigal who blew EVERYTHING—no spiritual résumé, no track record, just desperation—and gave him the SAME ring of authority the older brother had. You're not too messy; you're COVERED.
